The last modeling project of the year was a Jeep model, with parts drawn in Solidworks and printed using Makerbot 3D printers. As a class, we drew three parts for the jeep: the hood, the steering links, and the wheel. We then had to draw other parts on our own, using dimensions from already printed parts. I chose to draw the jeep's rear body, windshield, steering cross arm, and the tire. This project helped us learn how to get accurate dimensions and then transform those into a 3D modeled drawing.
